Unidentified Athlete/Model (Subject) & Deitrick, Kurt (Photographer). "ATHLETE WITH WHITE SOCK" COLOR PHOTOGRAPH BY KURT DEITRICK. Los Angeles, CA: Kurt Deitrick Studios, 1986. Hardcover. First Edition/First Printing. 1 pages. Fine.

Rare Kurt Deitrick and male erotic photography collectible item. A vintage color print of an unidentified blond athlete, as photographed by Kurt Deitrick. It is one of Kurt Deitrick's most (inadvertently) inspired male nudes ever. The print measures 5 X 7 inches and is encased in an oversize thick protective plastic sheet. It shows the boyishly handsome, hirsute yet clean-cut model in one of Deitrick's single most beautiful images. It is a conventional nude pose, except for one brilliant touch: His right foot is raised and his white sock is visible. It is unconscious on the part of the photographer that a male nude which shows a sock (just one, not the pair) alludes to two erotic elements: The single-letter difference between "sock" and "cock" and the almost-identical sound of "sock" and "suck". All three words have multiple meanings, the sexual ones being slang. This is not a digital print or a later, contemporary print but was printed directly from the original negatives in the 1980's, at the time of first publication. Beautifully developed, with great clarity and warm tones, on Kodak photographic paper. This is the genuine article, a "must-have" collectible, not just memorabilia, item for Kurt Deitrick and male erotic art photography collectors. This is an original vintage color print, is very highly collectible, and eminently suitable for framing. This is the only such copy available online and is in especially fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright, a pristine beauty. A rare copy thus. One of the best American male-nude images of the 20th century. A fine collectible copy. (SEE ALSO OTHER KURT DEITRICK TITLES IN OUR CATALOG). $150.00
