Published on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery in Barnsdall Park from September 18 through October 20, 1974. Presents a representative selection of the photographer's architecture, landmark, landscape, and portrait photographs. The celebrated photograph of Frank Lloyd Wright is inevitably in this selection as are the great architect's creations, which were photographed for posterity by Teske. Remains one of the indispensable titles in the rather sparse collection of photographs in book form by the great artist/photographer, who deserves to be better-known, for the simple reason that he was truly great. The massive retrospective in 2004 of Edmund Teske's work, "Spirit Into Matter", at the Getty Museum Los Angeles should help redress the neglect of one of the most important photographers of the 20th century. A lovely collection. This copy is neatly and beautifully signed in black fountain pen on the flyleaf by Edmund Teske. The signature is real, not a facsimile, as those found in Teske's other books are. This title has been out-of-print for a long time. This copy is in fine condition: Clean, crisp, and bright.
