Representing the bedrock of rock, Charlie Watts has aged immaculately" (Jill Furmanovsky). Her first shot was of Paul McCartney, standing outside his house with two of her school friends, taken on a Kodak Instamatic. Following a foundation course at Harrow School of Art, Furmanovsky studied at the Central School of Art and Design. After only two weeks of training in photography, she was offered the job of official photographer at London's leading rock venue, The Rainbow Theatre, in 1972. Artists photographed in her 30-year career include many of the biggest names in rock music: Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Blondie, The Police, Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders, Bob Dylan, and Oasis. She has also made music videos for Oasis and The Pretenders. Furmanovsky's books, "The Moment: 25 Years of Rock Photography" and "Was There Then ? A Photographic Journey" are seminal works in the genre. She recently completed the third part in a trilogy of rock tales with "Bobquest: Three Years In The Shadow of Bob Dylan". A stunningly beautiful portrait, this is a "must-have" title for Charlie Watts, The Rolling Stones, and rock music collectors. This original silver-gelatin print is Number 15, and is very prominently and beautifully signed and numbered in black pen and stamped on recto by Jill Furmanovsky. The frame was professionally done by the Monroe Gallery of Photography, using ultra-violet (UV) -filtered glass. This is the only such framed and signed copy available online and has no flaws, a pristine beauty. A rare signed copy thus.
