The book is dedicated to the memory of Luchino Visconti and Pier Paolo Pasolini, two of the greatest Italian film directors/writers of the 20th century, who also happened to be homosexual. Quite a number of people, including the American fashion designer Calvin Klein, the photographer Bruce Weber, and the model Peter Martin ("You never did show up for your picture but it remains in my heart") are profusely thanked by Lalli. Presents the photographer's male nudes in a more lyrical and tender vein. Dramatically lit, casually composed, and erotically charged photographs of American and European male models who auditioned for and in many cases, actually appeared as models for Calvin Klein, Versace, and other established fashion designers. This is, in effect, the other side of their glamorous model life, as imagined by the talented photographer Lalli, who first became well-known through his collection, "Fun? Game", now a "cult" male erotic photography collection. There are unmistakable echoes of the work of Bruce Weber as well as Jack Pierson. Lalli is, in effect, trying to combine the two vastly opposite styles and make them his own. However, Lalli's intention is not to evoke a sense of desolation and loss, as Jack Pierson does, nor does he wish to mythologize, as Bruce Weber has done. Instead, he simply and unapologetically wants to tease and arouse, to present these handsome, lean, and muscular men (they are all as good-looking as any Bruce Weber model partly because they are) in a de-glamorized yet irresistibly sexy manner. A feast for the senses, this is a "must-have" title for Lalli and male erotic art photography collectors.
